THE EVERLASTING PUSH PINS

Bill Peet's room was 3B8, on the third floor of the animation building which was designed like a hospital in order to get financing.  "The bank evidently had very little faith in Walt's far out dreams of big things to come."

(Story)" boards (were sent) to the second floor to the directors' unit, and when they were done, the boards were sent to the basement where they were dismantled.  Sketches were stacked away in a vast storage area called the morgue."

PUSH PINS

"The push pins were reboxed and returned to the supply room on the main floor, then delivered by traffic boys to the floors above. (An) endless cycle, up stairs to the top, down to the bottom, year after year.  Most of the people who worked on Pinocchio are gone one way or another, but the thousands of push pins they pushed are still making the rounds today". (written in the 1980's)

"Only when the points blunted or bent are they tossed out, just like any other employee who has lost some of his sharpness."

PUSH PIN

"Push pin throwing was a big game."
